Yan v Dvalishvili RESULTS

-3.07 UNITS - 18.5% ROI. Not so good. I did get a couple underdogs correct - Volkov and Martinez. Aside from betting too many small method props, I was disappointed because I was pretty sure of a couple things that were just bad reads.

Volkov dominated and finished in round 1. I thought it was going to be a slower paced fight and not so one-sided.

And Merab really dominated Yan. I feel bad about reading this so wrong. But I don't think I could have guessed the fight would play out this way. I thought it might be possible for Merab to win a competitive decision. But I did not foresee the one-sided fight that it was. Merab had an impressive performance, but I don't think Yan looked prepared or at his best. His TD defense was on point being able to defend so many attempts, but it was the striking that was unexpected. I thought Yan would be able to adjust to the volume that Merab put out, but he just never did. It seemed like he prepared for the wrestling but not for the striking volume. He seemed to keep shelling up, hoping Merab would slow and give him openings to put out some offense, but it never happened. Merab's striking seemed repetitive and predictable, but it kept coming and Yan was getting hit and not countering. He never adjusted, which seems uncharacteristic to me. He wasn't at his best.
