Alves starts off with bad groin kick. But after that very explosive and landing early. He looks really good. Does not look to be conserving his cardio. Going all out. Casey striking looking pretty good. Landing combos. Jojua gets a TD at end of first. Jojua power harder, but no punch variation. Casey loses balance and falls at end of second. 2nd was for Casey. Casey by Decision
Cynthia Calvillo vs Andrea Lee
Lee looked great. Her striking looked sharp. Strikes down the middle helping to prevent TD. Able to defend TD. Lee just dominating with the strikes. Calvillo striking not effective. Too little volume. I got the pick right but the method wrong. Lee by TKO. Calvillo retires after 2nd.
Thiago Moisés vs Joel Alvarez
Oh my gosh, I got that one totally wrong. Alvarez totally dominates in striking. His striking looks great. He looks much better than he did in fight footage. Moises did not seem like he had a chance with the reach and size difference. The size difference was huge though. How can they be the same weight class? Alvarez by TKO in 1st.
Yadong Song vs Julio Arce
Song busier, arce not throwing as much but very elusive and long. Arce more of a karate stance, song more frontal muay thai. Both fast, but arce really fast like lightning. I think Song landed more in the 1st, but nothing significant. Even though Song had more volume, Arce looks more in control. Arce a little busier in 2nd. Wow, Song catches Arce and he goes down. Song KO in 2nd.
Miguel Baeza vs Khaos Williams
Tense and explosive but not much volume. Baeza falls and goes for sub on leg. I think baeza won 1st but hard to score. Baeza I think landed more harder punches and then had domniant position for long time but got hit on the ground. Baeza much bigger than I thought. 2nd round was also close, but I think Baeza. More leg kicks and I think a few more harder punches landed. Wow, in a leg kick skirmish, khaos lands a cfew hard punches to the chin. Khaos in the 3rd by KO. Baeza is known for being the more technical guy, but Khaos looks good. Baeza had hard time really landing clean. His arms were over shooting and missing a lot. Accuracy or distance judgement not good. Khaos stays composed and eventually finds the opening.
Felicia Spencer vs Leah Letson
1st total domination against cage for Felicia. Lots of elbows and punches. Doesn't get TD though. Total domination in1st and 2nd. Letson comes and get a TD in the 3rd, but Felicia turns it around. Felicia eventually ground and pound in the 3rd.
Max Holloway vs Yair Rodriguez
Both looking good, both landing. Yair maybe ahead. Yair lands more hard shots. Controls and almost get a TD. Yair looks good in2 nd, but starting to look a little tired. His strikes are looking slower and more loopy. Max getting more success in 2nd. Yair not as elusive anymore. 3rd is big for Max, lots control time, 2 TDs. flying knee. very varied and exciting fight. 4th Max controls on ground and most of round,. YAir comes backa lttileat end of 4th landing some nice kicks. yair coming back stronger looking in 5th, trying to get a finish. yair tries a cartwheel kick and lands with MAx on top. Yair turns it around. back on feet. both bloody. Wow, yair still going. I think Yair maybe won the 5th. Max by decision.
