I've been away for awhile. This is the first time in a couple months I'e had time to really research an event. Somehow I ended up putting lots of bets this week. Hope that is not a mistake. I want to get positive on my Bet MMA tips profile.
Main event: This should be good. They are very closely matched, but I'm going with Gaetje. I don't think he gets enough recognition for his skills. He has brawling tendencies but over the years he has reined it in and become more composed. He brawls in a more controlled and smart way now. I think he's a different fighter than he was in their first fight 5 years ago. He's more technical, more skilled, has better defense. He's bigger and I feel like he is stronger physically than Poirier. I think the way he fought Fiziev in his last fight shows he is faster and can be defensive. For how good and fast Fiziev is, Gaetje did pretty well defensively. I feel like Gaetje is looking more fluid than Poirier these days. I tend to think they will start a bit slow because they respect each other so I tend to think it will go longer and maybe even go the distance. But would not be surprised if I was totally wrong.
